About PNG to JPG
PNG screenshots and photos can be very large. Saved as JPG, a photo is often many times smaller and looks almost the same, which makes it quicker to send and upload.
JPG cannot store see-through areas, so these become white. Slimfile saves at high quality, which keeps pictures looking clean. For screenshots with fine text, check the result before you delete the original.
Questions
What happens to a transparent background?
It becomes white, because JPG has no see-through option. To keep it, use PNG to WebP.
How much smaller will the file be?
Photos often shrink a lot. Simple graphics with flat colours may shrink less, and sometimes a PNG is already smaller.
