About Slimfile

Slimfile is a free set of tools for making images and PDFs the right size and format. It is made by Rajputx, an independent studio that designs, builds and publishes its own apps.

Why we built it

Size limits are everywhere: application forms, email, websites and chat apps. Most online tools ask you to upload personal photos and documents to a stranger's server, just to make them smaller. We thought that step should not be needed, since modern browsers are able to do this work themselves.

How it works

When you use a Slimfile tool, the work happens on your own device, inside your browser. Your files are not sent to us. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

How it stays free

Slimfile may show advertising to cover its running costs. Ads never have access to your files. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

Limits we are honest about

Because the work happens on your device, very large files depend on your device's memory. A computer can handle more than a phone. Some compression also has real trade-offs, and we explain them on each tool's page.
